AGL Energy lifts FY26 underlying EBITDA 2% to $2,100 million, raises dividend and targets renewables growth
AGL Energy reported FY26 underlying EBITDA of $2,100 million, up 2%, and operating free cash flow of $850 million, up 60%, supported by customer growth and its energy services business. Underlying NPAT slipped 2% to $631 million, while statutory profit after tax was $756 million. Customer services rose by 92,000 to 4.57 million, helped by the Ampol Energy acquisition and organic growth, with customer satisfaction at 84.1%. Hashdex to halt trading in DEFI Bitcoin ETF after Aug. 17 close ahead of cash liquidation
Hashdex’s Bitcoin ETF (DEFI) has logged net inflows on only six days since launch, while its assets and Bitcoin holdings have continued to shrink. On Aug. 11, the fund managed about $8.7 million and held 134.95 BTC, down 26% and 25% from Aug. 7, respectively. Shares outstanding fell 25% to 120,000 from 160,000, signaling faster redemptions ahead of the Aug. 17 forced cash liquidation. Over the prior week, US spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $865.3 million in net inflows, with BlackRock’s IBIT accounting for 80.1% of that total.

National Bank of Canada disclosed its holdings in several cryptocurrency ETFs in a 13F filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. As of June 30, the bank reported positions including the Bitwise XRP ETF, the ProShares Bitcoin ETF, the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund, and the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust ETF. Its largest crypto investment was the Fidelity fund, valued at about $3.07 million. Suncorp FY26 profit slips to $1,027 million, declares 52-cent final dividend and flags up to $250 million buyback
Suncorp Group reported FY26 net profit after tax of $1,027 million, down from $1,823 million a year earlier, while cash earnings fell to $1,042 million from $1,452 million.
