ASTR is the native cryptocurrency of Astar Network, a smart contracts platform built on a Polkadot parachain. Astar Network is designed to facilitate high levels of interoperability within the Polkadot ecosystem and with other blockchains such as Ethereum and Cosmos. The platform leverages Layer 2 optimistic rollup solutions to achieve high scalability.
