Ethereum rebounded from the $2,025 area and is consolidating above $2,120 while holding above the 100-hour Simple Moving Average. A bearish trend line near $2,165 and resistance at $2,200 are limiting upside attempts, while a rejection below $2,165 could reopen a move toward $2,065 and $2,025.

Ethereum (ETH) recorded $80.2 million in liquidations over the past 24 hours, including $65.6 million in long liquidations, as price moved back above $2,000. Technical levels suggest $2.5K–$2.7K could be reachable if demand improves, but the $2,353 aggregate realized price and weak volume signals may cap any rally near $2.4K.

Balancer published two governance proposals on 23 March outlining a post-exploit restructuring that shifts the protocol away from incentive-led growth toward a leaner, revenue-first approach. The plan would stop BAL emissions, phase out veBAL, and send 100% of protocol fees to the DAO treasury, while also considering a treasury-funded buyback-and-burn program sized up to 35% of holdings (~$3.6M).

NYSE Arca has submitted a proposal that would change how options on Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs trade, aiming to align them with standard equity-options rules. The filing would remove a 25,000-contract position cap on certain products and broaden access to FLEX options that let traders customize terms such as strikes and expirations. It also sets eligibility thresholds for the underlying assets, including a $700m average market value requirement.

Bitcoin (BTC) climbed more than 4% on March 23, 2026 after U.S. President Donald Trump said the U.S. and Iran had held talks and he ordered a five-day postponement of strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure. BTC moved from around $68,250 to above $71,000, while Ethereum (ETH) rose from about $2,050 to $2,180, a gain of more than 6%. The broader crypto market cap was up 2.4% on Monday at the time of writing.

Sens. Adam Schiff and John Curtis introduced a bipartisan bill that would bar CFTC-registered venues, including Kalshi and Polymarket's U.S. platform, from listing prediction contracts linked to sports or casino-style games. Separately, Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan and Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour have reportedly backed a new $35 million venture fund aimed at prediction-market startups. The roundup also notes ETH-related moves, including Bitmine's purchase of 65,341 ETH and an early investor sale of 15,002 ETH worth about $31 million.

BlackRock opened the week of March 23 with more than $77 million in net withdrawals across its two spot crypto ETFs. On Monday, iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) posted a 658 BTC outflow (about $46 million), while iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHE) recorded a 14,802 ETH outflow worth roughly $31.74 million.

Aave DAO has approved an Aave Request for Comment (ARFC) snapshot vote to kick off community discussion on deploying Aave V4 to Ethereum mainnet, with a rollout expected this year. The vote ran four days and closed with 100% support, starting a non-binding phase before any onchain Aave Improvement Proposal and deployment. V4 introduces a modular Hub-and-Spoke design and deeper integration of the GHO stablecoin, as the protocol navigates contributor changes including planned exits by BGD Labs and Aave Chan Initiative.

Ethereum (ETH) traded in the low-$2,000s as spot Ethereum ETFs recorded about $138.2 million in net inflows in the latest session. Separately, Bitmine was reported to have staked roughly 94,670 ETH, while an inactive whale allegedly bought around 50,706 ETH (about $111 million) via two wallets. Traders are watching $2,100–$2,200 as a key zone, with mid-$2,400s framed as an upside reclaim level.

Bitmine Immersion Technologies said its Ethereum position has surpassed 4.66 million ETH, valued at about $9.6 billion, alongside $1.1 billion in cash for roughly $11 billion in total crypto and cash. The company added 65,341 ETH (around $138 million) over the past week and has already staked more than 3.14 million ETH, a level it expects could generate about $272 million per year at current yields.
