BitMine Immersion Technologies said it unveiled its Ethereum staking platform MAVAN on Wednesday, after reporting 3,142,643 ETH staked as of Tuesday, 24 March. The firm said it held 4.6 million ETH (about 3.8% of total supply) and plans to stake the full balance, citing a potential $300M in annual revenue at a 2.83% 7-day BMNR yield. It added that an extra 5 million ETH would still be needed to overtake Lido, which was reported to have nearly 9 million ETH staked.

TAO, Bittensor's native token, has risen from its Q1 2026 low of $145 to above $320, supported by narratives around AI-crypto convergence and institutional interest via a Spot TAO ETF. Pine Analytics argues many Bittensor subnets are sustained mainly by token-emission subsidies rather than verifiable demand, warning that when emissions halve again in late 2026 or 2027 prices may need to rise, or miners and validators could exit. Even with the cautionary outlook, TAO sentiment was described as neutral after a 25% move in 24 hours and a nearly 130% rebound from February lows.

Kentucky is facing scrutiny over an amendment to HB 380, a bill aimed at regulating virtual currency kiosks, after critics said it could effectively prohibit crypto self-custody. The Bitcoin Policy Institute argues the measure would require hardware wallet providers to reset or recover users’ seed phrases and passwords, which it says is not feasible for non-custodial wallets.

The Algorand Foundation said it has reduced its workforce by 25%, attributing the move to the global macro backdrop and a broader decline in crypto markets. It said the restructuring is intended to better align remaining resources with the protocol's long-term objectives. ALGO was down about 10% and traded at $0.088 at the time of writing, while DeFi metrics on Algorand have also weakened.
