Startale Group has completed a $63 million Series A round with backing from SBI Group and Sony Innovation Fund, split into two tranches. The company said the funding will be used to scale its Strium Layer 1 for tokenized securities, expand its JPYSC and USDSC stablecoins, and upgrade the Startale App into a consumer SuperApp built on Sony's Ethereum Layer 2, Soneium.

Coinbase told the Senate this week it cannot support the latest Digital Asset Market Clarity Act draft, after changes circulated Monday would bar exchanges from paying rewards on stablecoin balances and limit access to transaction-size data. The company reported $1.35 billion in stablecoin revenue in 2025, much of it tied to USDC distribution payments under its Circle partnership. The draft’s yield provisions could remove an estimated $800 million in annual revenue tied to that line of business.

On March 26 in New York, Better Home & Finance Holding Co. and Coinbase Global Inc. introduced a structure that lets homebuyers use Bitcoin and USDC as collateral to fund a mortgage down payment without selling their digital assets. The arrangement pairs a standard conforming mortgage originated under Fannie Mae guidelines with a second, crypto-secured loan that is combined into one monthly payment.

Anchorage Digital announced Thursday that it will support TRON custody and Tron network staking, positioning itself as the first federally chartered U.S. crypto infrastructure firm to offer TRON within a regulated setup.
