The forced liquidation triggered Hyperliquid's Auto-Deleveraging (ADL) process, pushing the HLP liquidity pool to take on toxic inventory. PeckShield estimated the event created bad debt and around $3 million in paper losses, with HLP down about $1.5 million over the past 24 hours. PeckShield added that the attacker likely set up the trade via cross-market hedging, meaning realized profits could be significantly higher than the headline paper losses.
