UAE Said to Consider Joining US-Led Effort to Reopen Strait of Hormuz, Seeking UN Backing

The United Arab Emirates is preparing to potentially join the United States and its allies in a plan to forcibly reopen the Strait of Hormuz, according to The Wall Street Journal. The report said the UAE is also pressing for a UN Security Council resolution that would authorize such an operation.
