Tether Taps KPMG for First Full Audit of USDT Reserves After Years of Delays

Tether has engaged KPMG to carry out its first full, independent financial statement audit covering USDT reserves and related controls, after delaying a full audit for nearly a decade. The review is expected to span its balance sheet holdings such as U.S. Treasuries, cash equivalents, and digital assets, while PwC is said to be assisting with internal readiness. No public completion date has been provided, and Tether says the process is already underway.
