Nvidia is set to report fiscal second-quarter results after the close on Aug. 26, with attention on whether its revenue can sustain rapid growth. Over the past 12 months, the company generated $119 billion in free cash flow, up 54% year over year, and posted gross margins near 75%. Nvidia is also in talks to invest in AI search platform Perplexity AI at a $30 billion valuation, up from $20 billion last year. Perplexity’s annualized revenue has risen this year from $250 million to more than $750 million.

Broadcom’s management expects AI semiconductor revenue to exceed $100 billion in fiscal 2027, a sharp step up from the $56 billion it is forecasting for fiscal 2026. In fiscal 2026’s second quarter, the company posted $10.8 billion in AI semiconductor revenue, up 143% year over year.

Michael Burry’s fund has fully exited its Alibaba stake as the company moved to raise about $10.2 billion through a discounted share placement to fund AI and cloud infrastructure. The financing announcement sent Alibaba shares down 8.5% in a single session. The stock is down about 18% so far in 2026, and the company trades at roughly 27.2 times trailing earnings.

India’s Bharat Electronics (BEL) said it has secured a new order worth ₹73 billion. The announcement is expected to put the stock in focus on Thursday. The shares have rebounded 8% in August, reversing an earlier decline.

Western Digital shares have fallen 45% from their recent high, but the company’s fundamentals remain solid. Revenue climbed 36% to $12.9 billion, while gross margin rose to 49.1% and operating margin widened 1,290 basis points to 37.3%. EPS more than doubled to $10.22 and free cash flow reached $3.5 billion. Management forecast next-quarter revenue of about $4.1 billion, roughly 45% YoY growth, with gross margin of 55% to 56% and EPS of about $4 versus $1.78 a year earlier.

Meta has reached a federal-level settlement in a multi-state lawsuit alleging social media addiction, agreeing to pay $18 billion. After the announcement, Meta’s stock moved unevenly. The case has drawn broader debate over teen mental health and platform accountability.

Qualcomm shares have fallen about 38% from their year-to-date high, while the company reported fiscal third-quarter revenue down 4% year over year to $9.9 billion and a 20% drop in handset revenue. The company now expects non-handset QCT revenue to exceed $40 billion by fiscal 2029, nearly doubling its previous $22 billion goal, with automotive and IoT contributing more than $24 billion and data centers over $15 billion. Management also projects data center revenue of about $5 billion in fiscal 2027. Analyst sentiment has improved in recent months.

UK-based Prudential plans to sell up to 98.85 lakh shares, or 2% of ICICI Prudential AMC, via the open market on Aug. 27. If fully completed, promoter and promoter group ownership will fall to 85.60% from 87.60%. ICICI Bank, the other promoter, said it will not buy shares of the asset manager from the open market on Aug. 27. The stock fell 1.90% on Wednesday to close at Rs 3,223.60.

J.M. Smucker reported fiscal 2025 first-quarter net income of $324.3 million, or $3.03 per share, with adjusted earnings of $3.24 per share. The adjusted result exceeded analysts’ expectations of $2.21 per share, according to Zacks Investment Research. Revenue was $2.22 billion, above the $2.11 billion forecast. The company said it expects full-year earnings of $10.50 to $11 per share.

3M India reported FY26 revenue of ₹5,089.8 crore, up 14.5% year on year, and net profit of ₹522.3 crore, a 9.7% increase. Pretax profit (after exceptional items) rose 15.6%. All four business segments posted double-digit growth, led by Healthcare at 17.5%. The board recommended a dividend of ₹506 per equity share, which the new chairman and managing director addressed at the annual general meeting.
