Crypto’s Q1 2026 downturn coincided with a 1.6% decline in USDT while the total market cap slid 20.8%, suggesting capital left the market rather than waiting on the sidelines. In April, Ethereum-led stablecoin activity picked up, including a near 2.6% monthly increase in USDT issuance volume on ETH and a $10.3 billion monthly stablecoin supply change on Ethereum. The shift has fueled debate over whether these inflows can help establish support and improve Q2 momentum.

BitMine plans to uplist to the NYSE on 09 April, disclosing that as of 06 April it held 4,803,334 ETH worth about $10.2 billion at a $2,123 price. Ethereum’s exchange supply ratio has fallen to 0.125 while total ETH staked hit a record 38.8 million, tightening liquid supply. ETH’s chart showed mixed momentum: price hovered near $2.1K, open interest rose toward $12.5B, and funding suggested longs were in control.

A newly created wallet withdrew about $82 million worth of ETH from institutional prime brokerage FalconX, drawing attention to who may be behind the transfer. Analysts cited by the report said the wallet's behavior resembles Bitmine's past acquisition patterns, though attribution is not confirmed.
