Birlasoft reported a strong June quarter, with net profit jumping 51% on the back of higher revenue and a sharp improvement in operating margins. The IT services firm also reported a 20% increase in deal wins, driven by AI-led engagements, even as it reduced headcount.

Corning issued third-quarter sales guidance that came in slightly below Wall Street analysts’ expectations, weighed by slower growth in its core fiber-optics business. The unit is a key driver of the company’s data center-related revenue. Shares slid more than 16% in premarket trading after the update. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 4,123 crore for Q1 of FY27, up nearly 14% year-on-year. Revenue from operations rose about 7% to Rs 67,942 crore. The company said it secured orders worth Rs 1.08 lakh crore in the quarter, a 14% increase from a year earlier. International business remained a key driver, with international revenue and order inflows accounting for 51% and 56% of totals, respectively.

Knowledge Realty Trust reported a 15% year-on-year increase in revenue and net operating income (NOI) for the quarter ended June, to Rs 1,243.1 crore and Rs 1,111.7 crore, respectively. The REIT declared a distribution of Rs 751.6 crore, translating to a distribution per unit (DPU) of Rs 1.70, up 5% sequentially. Portfolio occupancy stood at 93%, supported by 1.4 million sq ft of gross leasing in the quarter, with average leasing spreads of 35% on new leases and 29% on renewals.

Cadence Design Systems (CDNS) reported fiscal 2024 second-quarter results with revenue of $1.584 billion and adjusted EPS of $2.11, both ahead of expectations. The company also raised its full-year revenue guidance to $6.26 billion–$6.34 billion and lifted its adjusted EPS outlook to $8.05–$8.15, above consensus. CDNS shares rose 3.4% to $349.97 in premarket trading. Needham reiterated a Buy rating and kept its $400 price target.

The Indian government said it will impose nationwide stockholding limits on sugar dealers from August 1 to November 30 and require weekly inventory reporting. Zepto is discussing a sharply lower IPO valuation with investors, shifting from market expectations of $7 billion in April to a $3 billion post-money valuation in current talks.
