Ethereum rebounded from the $2,265 area and moved above $2,320, where it is also trading above the 100-hour Simple Moving Average. The market is consolidating, with $2,385 acting as the first notable hurdle and $2,420 marked as a higher resistance. If ETH stays below $2,300, the setup indicates risk of a pullback toward $2,265 and potentially lower support zones.

Aave (AAVE), a decentralized lending protocol on Ethereum, is presented with price projections spanning 2026 to 2032, including an estimated 2032 range of $300.91 to $588.92. The report also notes that on May 10 AAVE traded around $102.3 after rising nearly 7% and reclaiming the $100 level, with $104–$108 cited as the next resistance band if momentum holds.

BlackRock submitted SEC filings on May 8 for two tokenized money-market funds—BSTBL and BRSRV—aimed at stablecoin holders seeking a regulated way to earn yield. The move came ahead of the Senate Banking Committee's May 14 markup of the Clarity Act, which would ban passive yield on idle stablecoins on crypto platforms. The products target different segments, with BSTBL issuing tokens on Ethereum and BRSRV requiring a $3 million minimum investment.

Spot crypto ETFs saw renewed demand over the past week as prices climbed, with bitcoin products leading weekly net inflows. BTC spot ETFs recorded $622.75 million in net inflows for the week, while ETH spot ETFs ended with just over $70 million and XRP-focused funds brought in more than $34 million.

BlackRock submitted May 8 paperwork to the SEC seeking to launch two tokenized money market funds, including a blockchain share class for the $6.1 billion BSTBL treasury fund and a new vehicle called BRSRV. The tokenized BSTBL class is slated for Ethereum, while BRSRV is designed for multi-chain deployment and targets short-term US government obligations.

Ethereum’s Q2 gain stands at 10.48%, but its April return was 7.3% and May’s upside has been about 2x smaller than Bitcoin’s, keeping ETH from showing clear relative strength. Binance has logged large early-May deposit spikes—216,152 ETH on May 6, 98,552 ETH on May 8, and 125,146 ETH on May 9—while exchange reserves rose to 3.62 million ETH, adding to concerns about distribution pressure.

The market is showing signs of a BTC-to-altcoin rotation, with BTC dominance easing for four consecutive days after an early-May push to 61.2%. ETH/BTC has bounced about 0.7% after four straight weeks of declines, while the Altcoin Season Index jumped more than 10 points in under 24 hours. USDT dominance is also down 2.7% on the week and fell below 7%, alongside a -$1.29 billion net USDT exchange outflow on 08 May, a mix of signals that could influence whether rotation develops into a broader cycle.

Ethereum's portion of global DeFi total value locked (TVL) fell from 63.5% in January 2025 to 53% by May 2026, even as it still holds about $45.50 billion in TVL. Over the same period, Solana (6.76%), BNB Chain (6.55%), Bitcoin (6.16%), Tron (6.01%), Base (5.31%), and Hyperliquid (1.82%) increased their shares, leaving non-Ethereum chains at roughly 47% combined. A May 9 post from Base creator Jesse Pollak highlighted the multichain ambition, writing, "bring every financial instrument onchain."

On Polymarket's "What price will Ethereum hit in May?" market, traders are mainly pricing in Ethereum (ETH) staying at or above $2,200 by May 31, 2026, with a 68% implied probability. The next most favored outcome is $2,600 or higher at 33%, while odds for $3,000 remain low at 3%. At press time, ETH traded at $2,306, up about 0.8% over the past 24 hours.

Dogecoin's three-week climb has faded after a local high above $0.116, with DOGE down -3.37% over 24 hours and -1% over seven days. Trading is hovering near $0.107, while volume jumped 55.80% to over $3 billion in the last 24 hours, putting focus on support at $0.10582 and resistance around $0.115. Separately, Maxi Doge ($MAXI) said it is nearing $5 million raised, with $4.7 million collected at the time of writing.
