India retail sugar prices slip to ₹64.33 a kg after duty-free import approval
India’s retail sugar prices fell from a record high, with the national average easing to ₹64.33 per kg. The decline followed the government’s Aug. 20 decision to allow dutyfree imports of 1 million tonnes of raw sugar to boost domestic supply ahead of the festival season. The government has said exmill prices have dropped about 18%. Even after the pullback, retail prices are still 31% higher than a month ago and 39% above a year earlier.

AST SpaceMobile reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $31.5 million, up more than 100% sequentially, driven by government contract milestone revenue and sales of gateway equipment to carrier partners. Management reiterated its full-year revenue guidance of $150 million to $200 million. The company said it has recently secured more than $100 million in contracts. EPMB’s 2Q26 net profit jumps nearly 19-fold to RM5.15 million as revenue hits a 10-year high
EP Manufacturing Bhd (EPMB) said its net profit for 2Q26 surged nearly 19-fold year on year to RM5.15 million, while revenue rose 66.6% to RM212.7 million, its highest quarterly level in at least a decade. Earnings per share increased to 1.80 sen from 0.10 sen. For the first half of 2026, net profit climbed to RM6.7 million from RM1.05 million, while revenue grew 47.2%. The company said monthly output under its collaboration projects with GWM, SAICMG and XPENG has exceeded 1,000 vehicles.
