Investors are leaning more heavily on Bitcoin as uncertainty persists. Bitcoin’s market dominance has been rising even as its price sits below recent highs. The trend has also been reinforced by Morgan Stanley’s recent ETF-related buying.

Franklin Templeton has filed for an exchange-traded fund designed to convert stock dividends into Bitcoin exposure. The proposed product would pair large-cap U.S. equities with a rules-based BTC accumulation approach funded by dividend payments.

On June 19, bitcoin traded in a volatile “zigzag” range between $62,300 and $63,300 before ending up 1% and hovering just above $63,000. The move came as the U.S.–Iran peace memorandum faced its first stern test. Intraday trading remained choppy within the same band for most of the session.

Analysts said potential steps to address Strategy’s STRC depeg could weigh on both Bitcoin and MSTR valuations. They warned Strategy may have to sell more BTC to meet dividend-related obligations tied to STRC. The overhang could limit BTC’s near-term upside, while MSTR could face additional pressure from dilution to fund those obligations.

Cryptoquant CEO Ki Young Ju said bitcoin’s biggest risk is not a sharp crash but “boredom,” warning that a years-long sideways market could test financing structures built around the asset. He argued that this dynamic is a particular threat to Michael Saylor’s STRC preferred-stock model used by Strategy. He has also said Strategy and spot bitcoin ETF buyers have absorbed heavy selling from older holders, estimating bitcoin could be trading closer to $22,000 without that demand.

Russia is set to legalize Bitcoin and stablecoin payments for cross-border trade on July 1, 2026, following a two-year pilot program. The trial has already processed roughly $11Bn in crypto-facilitated commerce last year, according to figures cited by state news agency TASS. The change would formalize crypto settlement for foreign trade while moving it into a regulated framework.

Franklin Templeton is seeking SEC approval for two new ETFs that would use stock dividends to automatically buy Bitcoin. The proposed structure aims to link traditional equity income with crypto exposure in a single product, bridging Wall Street and digital-asset markets.
