AMD shares jump 6.19% as chipmaker raises $4.75 billion and Bank of America lifts long-term server CPU outlook
Advanced Micro Devices shares rose 6.19% on Friday, driven by two catalysts. The chipmaker completed its largest-ever investment-grade bond offering, raising $4.75 billion, as strong demand allowed its longest-dated bonds to price below early guidance. Bank of America analyst Vivek Arya raised his 2030 server CPU market forecast to over $210 billion and named AMD his top pick. Management also projected server revenue growth of more than 80% in the second half of 2026 and at least 70% in 2027, while its broader AI data center business is expected to grow well over 100% next year.

XRP Ledger–tx bridge bug lets attacker mint bridged XRP from phantom deposits, draining about 200,000 in 94 payments
A bridge connecting the XRP Ledger to the tx chain was exploited through a flaw in its deposit-detection logic. The attacker crafted transactions with no real deposits, minted bridged XRP on the tx chain, then swapped it back into real XRP. About 200,000 XRP was transferred out across 94 payments, each correctly signed by 17 of 28 relayers. Ripple’s ledger was not compromised, but txEcosystem said bridged XRP on its chain is no longer fully backed.
