U.S. stock futures edged higher on Friday as investors awaited the U.S. employment report. Strong earnings from tech companies lifted sentiment, with Atlassian up 31.6% in premarket trading and Microchip Technology rising 8.9%. The S&P 500 and the Dow were set for their best weekly performance since April, while the Nasdaq was on track for its biggest weekly gain since May. The government also raised tariffs on polysilicon to support domestic industry.

Ford is rolling out the Fathom, a new electric pickup priced at $28,350, after spending more than $5 billion on development. The model was initially priced at $40,000 before rising to nearly $60,000, and the federal tax credit has been eliminated. A rival pickup starts at $28,145 and sold about 155,000 units last year.

India’s Titan reported a sharp year-on-year rise in quarterly profit as strong jewellery demand helped lift overall revenue 40% to 207.87 billion rupees. EBIT margin widened to 13.4% from 11.8% as customers bought higher-margin jewellery. Total expenses rose 26% on higher gold prices and advertising costs.

Poly Medicure reported Q1FY27 consolidated revenue up 30.3% year on year to 5,253.76 lacs. Net profit declined 8.4% to 852.74 lacs and earnings per share fell 7.6%. Separately, its subsidiary Polymed Brazil acquired 100% of Medyneo for 34.08 lacs.

Alphabet issued multi-maturity bonds on August 6 as its AI buildout drives capital spending higher. Second-quarter capital expenditure reached $44.9 billion, roughly double a year earlier, and the company lifted its 2026 capex guidance to $195-$205 billion. Alphabet posted $119.8 billion in quarterly revenue, up 24%, and reported a cloud backlog of $514 billion. The 30-year Treasury yield stood at 5.17%.

Mrs. Bectors reported June-quarter results with net profit up 25.5% year on year to ₹38.8 crore. Revenue rose 16% to ₹548.7 crore, while the EBITDA margin improved to 13.1% from 12.3%. The stock climbed more than 5% after the release.

Tokenized real-world assets (RWA) held in lending protocols and decentralized exchanges climbed from $2.3 billion to $7.4 billion over the past twelve months, a gain of more than 220%, according to a joint CoinShares and Token Terminal report. Over the same period, total DeFi deposits fell about 15% and DEX trading volume dropped roughly 70%. Tokenized Treasury products typically offer annual yields in the 3% to 5.5% range. CoinShares said those products can keep generating income even when posted as collateral.
