Schwab's Jim Ferraioli Says Bitcoin's Cost Floor Near $60,000 on June 4, 2026
On June 4, 2026, Charles Schwab digital assets research director Jim Ferraioli said Bitcoin's valuation framework at the firm is tied to miners' production costs, with top operators able to produce BTC at roughly $60,000 per coin. He said BTC trading around $62,000 to $63,000 leaves only a thin cushion above that level, while average miner costs are about $95,000. Schwab also began offering spot crypto trading for eligible U.S. retail clients in May 2026 via Schwab Crypto with a 0.75% fee and zero spread.
