Aviva Investors and Ripple have launched a tokenized share class for a sterling liquidity fund on the XRP Ledger, according to a press release published on Ripple's official website. The GBP liquidity fund is the second existing vehicle the firm has tokenized, following a tokenized share class for a USD liquidity fund rolled out in July 2026. It is Aviva Investors' largest fund, an Irish-registered UCITS money market fund with roughly £22 billion in assets under management. Aviva has committed £50 million (about $66 million) to the new share class. Combined investment across the two tokenized share classes now tops £86 million (around $116 million), placing Aviva Investors among Europe's biggest providers of tokenized money market funds. The fund uses a "digital twin" model: investor holdings are represented onchain while the fund structure itself remains offchain. Tokenized shares carry the same investment objectives, risk profile, liquidity and regulatory protections as their traditional counterparts. The new shares are open to qualified investors holding digital wallets, with support from Komainu and Licuido. Assets continue to be custodied by BNY Mellon.
