Tether International has filled a vacant audit committee seat at Twenty One Capital (XXI) by appointing an independent director that it says meets SEC and NYSE independence requirements. The vacancy followed Tether's May 20 purchase of SoftBank's 89.1 million XXI shares for about $711 million, a deal that left Tether with uncontested majority control while XXI holds more than 43,500 BTC.

Travala said on June 5 it launched a system that lets AI agents search, compare, and initiate hotel reservations that settle in USDC on Coinbase's Base network.
